Description island Di PonzaThe inhabited small island of Di Ponza is part of (the island group) Pontine Islands and is located in the country of Italy, Southern Europe. The distance to the mainland is about 32.4 km. The surface-area of the island is 7.4 km2 and is therefore 0.019 x times greater than the island of Isle of Wight. The island lies in the Tyrrhenian Sea and the total coastal length is about 32.9 km and the dimensions of the island are approximately 8 km by 1.7 km (maximum width). The island is Northeast - South oriented. The highest point is 279 meter and is named Monte Guardia.
