Description island GorgonaThe inhabited small island of Gorgona is part of (the island group) Tuscan Archipelago and is located in the country of Italy, Southern Europe. The distance to the mainland is about 33.4 km. The surface-area of the island is 2.2 km2 and is therefore 0.006 x times greater than the island of Isle of Wight. The island lies in the Tyrrhenian Sea and the total coastal length is about 9.4 km and the dimensions of the island are approximately 2.1 km by 1.5 km (maximum width).
