Description island JuraThe inhabited large island of Jura is part of (the island group) Inner Hebrides and is located in the country of Great Britain , Western Europe. The distance to the mainland is about 4.6 km. The surface-area of the island is 363.5 km2 and is therefore 0.957 x times greater than the island of Isle of Wight. The island lies in the Atlantic Ocean and the total coastal length is about 163.3 km and the dimensions of the island are approximately 44 km by 12 km (maximum width). The highest point is 785 meter and is named Beinn an Òir.
