Description island StromboliThe inhabited small island of Stromboli is part of (the island group) Aeolian Islands and is located in the country of Italy, Southern Europe. The distance to the mainland is about 54.6 km. The surface-area of the island is 12.5 km2 and is therefore 0.033 x times greater than the island of Isle of Wight. The island lies in the Tyrrhenian Sea and the total coastal length is about 16 km and the dimensions of the island are approximately 4.8 km by 2.8 km (maximum width).
