Description island WolinThe inhabited large island of Wolin is located in the country of Poland, Eastern Europe. The island is situated in a lagoon. The distance to the mainland is, quite close about 0.1 km. The surface-area of the island is 254.7 km2 and is therefore 0.671 x times greater than the island of Isle of Wight. The island lies in the Baltic Sea and the total coastal length is about 153.2 km and the dimensions of the island are approximately 37.5 km by 19 km (maximum width). The island is West-southwest - East-northeast oriented. The highest point is 116 meter and is named Grzywacz.
